One of BHT's best albums, along with Beautiful Earth and Crimes of Passion. A mus- take for any collection. BHT even so tours pocket-sized venues. Run into them if you can. Their concerts are great!

Just a fantastic album. Tons of great songs that were all over the KBCO at one bespeak of other. Cleaved Hearted Savior, Sister Sweetly, It's Alright, Bittersweet, and Circle I think were all played on in that location. One of the best bands to come up from Denver and an astonishing debut.

"Big Head Todd & The Monsters" are peradventure one of the 90'south all-time kept secrets. I only heard them on the radio about 13 years after this album was released. "Broken Hearted Savior" was the song I heard, and is still ane I listen to constantly.

This album fusions rock, blues and country elements into one tape. "Soul For Every Cowboy" is the daddy of southern rock, right out of Bob Segar's textbook. "Groove Matter" has a blueish's riff that gets your anxiety tapping. "Sis Sweetly" is a adept steady stone song. The majority of songs on this album I could rate 4 stars. Information technology is consistent and refreshing. Since this was released in the 90'south you accept the sludgy guitar'due south, that audio reminiscent of "King's 10". With such a solid peace of work, I am surprised that this album and artist did not become more than media attention. Regardless of its alienation of other albums of the 1990's, it is a good CD that you should check out.

Bought in tardily '95 in Richmond, VA. "Bittersweet" and "Circle" are 2 of the all-time songs of their era, or of any era. (In fact, I can't cover how any average Joe could accept heard "Bittersweet" on the radio and non run out to buy the album.) They even played "Circumvolve" on Letterman, equally I recently constitute out thanks to YouTube. But aside from "Anxious Savior," the rest of the disc is pretty lame. "Groove Thing" is an utter disaster, as hinted at by the title, but I guess their record company told them to pen some songs aimed at the Phish / Spin Doctors crowd.

Starts out at a steady footstep and builds to the all-time tracks "Bittersweet" and "Circumvolve". Todd Mohr has a soulful vocalism and plays guitar more than than competently. Meant to exist listened to without expectation every bit it is more subtle than melodic. It stands up well to frequent playings.

_Sister Sweetly_ is an understated, kinda melancholy rock CD. Information technology establishes an low-key groove, and would be practiced background music for a candlelight dinner. "It'south Alright" and "Broken Hearted Savior" even have a slightly sexual vibe about them. The singer sounds like he has the potential to break out in to Michael Bolton style bombast, only he exercises cute restraint that suits the subdued tunes perfectly.
